Conquering Eczema

When addressing eczema, the solution may not solely rest in the current skincare products you are using. Environmental factors, such as home air quality and water conditions, along with internal factors like insufficient essential nutrients, can play a significant role.

Here's the story of our co-founder and her son's journey with eczema, detailing how she successfully managed to clear it. When our co-founder's son was diagnosed with eczema as a baby in 2013, he battled persistent diaper rash. At that time, options for clean diaper brands were scarce. However, using unscented, sensitive skin diapers from a specific brand (only available in one store) combined with a natural ointment proved effective. As he grew older, the eczema seemed to disappear until around January 2022 when a rash resembling ringworm appeared.

Despite numerous attempts with various lotions and creams, the issue persisted. Armed with a background in nutrition and wellness, she delved into the scientific aspect and stumbled upon an article on PubMed. The research disclosed a 16-week study involving individuals with moderate to severe eczema, showcasing that daily supplementation with a blend of omega-3 fats, omega-6 fats, zinc, vitamin E, and a multivitamin significantly reduced eczema severity by over 50% in more than 80% of the participants.

Upon discovering this information, she opted to validate her theory by relying on her maternal instincts as well as her knowledge in skincare as an esthetician . Using omega-3 children's vitamins as a supplement for her son, she discovered with astonishment that, after a year of attempting various creams and ointments, the daily incorporation of omega-3 vitamins yielded positive outcomes. In conjunction with the supplementation, she embraced a regimen that included the use of our calendula oats soap, an unscented body lotion certified by the national eczema association and a natural ointment  to help protect the barrier on the skin's surface,  as well protect the skin from external irritants.
